It can be lonely no matter what your role in the lifestyle. Reaching out to other subs has helped me, and I’ve made two very good friends who understand me in a way that my vanilla friends couldn’t. We each have our own kinks and preferences but the respect is there even if we don’t always agree or play the same ways. I hope you find someone that you feel comfortable talking with. Feel free to reach out if you ever need someone to listen and not judge.

It is not only the subs who get lonely. Life sometimes does not let us know what a good love is. Ypou can find someone to stay the night but a life time is something that is not heard of these days.

I eventually took the step of meeting up with others in my area. Granted, I drive over an hour for various events but it is worth it to me. I have met some of the most genuine, caring and fun people in person. I attend the socials and educational events. After they became familiar with me and trust was established, conversations opened up and offers of support as well. Both subs and Doms have been protective of me as I venture to more events, they have also offered to help vet potential partners.
I am glad I took my time and waited until I felt certain before taking the plunge. I am also glad I took that step and attended the first event! |
