Places to find BDSM/AltLifestyle roommates?

stuartM(sub male) • Apr 1, 2025
Hello. I had an account on here but lost the login info. In fact, my current apartment-mate and I met through the cage. But she does not remember her log in info either.
Anyway, I and my roommate have enjoyed having a co-living situation in NYC where we are free to be ourselves when at home. We would like to find a third roommate who would also like to live in a nice apartment near a fabulous park with all expenses for housekeeper and high speed cable, blah, blah, split between the three roommates.

We present "vanilla" to our jobs and neighbors, but enjoy going to munches and lifestyle events, sometimes together sometimes not.

If anyone knows of any sites or boards where one can place a housing ad that mentioned kink/BDSM, please let me know! And let me know if there is any particular forum on the Cage that allows such an ad.

Thank you.

As I'm not accustomed to sharing of other sites directly to forum posts you may DM me for the info I have which hopefully is atheist something more than what you already have

In Brooklyn, maybe try connecting with TES.

Go to munches, let people know what you're seeking.

The Village Voice used to have classifieds, but I didn't see them looking just now.

Try posting ads in the LGBTQ publications in NYC, like Metrosource, Go, Pink, Get Out, etc.

Craigslist maybe, but also maybe not.

FetLife classifieds.

Reddit posting?

Try googling "how to find a bdsm roomate in nyc". Saw some interesting stuff pop up there.

Maybe go to some of the clubs and ask around.

DEFINITELY no to craigslist- for ANYTHING- these days. Your chances of getting scammed, ripped off or fleeced far outweigh your chances of finding a legitimate deal on that site these days. And that's just for goods and services, for personals, I wouldn't even consider it.

Whereas I never got into Fet, other than that, from what I am informed on a regular basis is, in general, just about all "singles" sites, including "roomate wanted" BDSM or not-- are infested with either shills to get you to pony up for an expensive premium membership and worse, especially in the past year or two, "pig butchering" scammers..

"Immunize" yourself to them before seeking anything personal online.

Their playbook is there for all to see on the CSEC 's website under "romance scams" -- they cannot stray from their playbook because otherwise their scam won't get off the ground.

Now I know you specified "roommates" so the scammers might not take a lot of interest in those posting for roommates of any persuasion, but I wrote the above primarily to point out that Internet personals sites are clogged up with 90-95% crap, worse if it is a man who posts an ad looking for dates or living situations.

------

What I wrote is general advice as I have "heard" of too many "near misses" from male coworkers and associates in the past year alone.
Save yourself a lot of time and effort. For an IRL living situation, stick with IRL searches.

Got it!
