Is bdsm a high IQ game?

I’m a newbie here but here is what I am gathering so far…

BDSM has primal roots and has evolved over time into many things. Everyone’s perspective here is spot on, mostly because it seems both subjective and objective. It means something different to everyone. There is no definitive answer as the goal is to find a connection built on mutual trust. That could stem from many things -shared fantasy, shared experience level, shared goals, etc.
To label it merely as a high IQ game would be to diminish everything that encompasses the lifestyle.

Respectfully , this is just my two pennies.

Appreciated and spot-on

I personally look back at my early entanglements with females and realise that usually I took the lead and was Dominant without knowing that was a thing

Probably lots of females are submissive without knowing it

Point being. When does it become kink ?

Well ask yourself would you kneel before someone who thought of BDSM as a game or even you as just something to use as a punching bag. One must understand just what a sub enjoys and needs to be a better sub. There is a ying yang to BDSM and it is not for those who have a low IQ.

No. Life is a short swim in a dangerous ocean. Intelligence is just the latest tool in evolution's kit. So, IQ is a measure of adaptability and survival potential. BDSM is an expression of personal will. The two may intersect, but do not track.

Funny thing about IQ. It has very little to do with being book-smart. The reason I point this out is that I kind of smelled a waft of the “I’m a sapiosexual” scent lingering around the question.
So I can’t help but wonder, are you speaking of intellects or intelligence?
There are plenty of intellects. Is that a bdsm thing though? Or more a factor of being an online community? The online world is the playground of intellects. But I see about as much intelligence as anywhere else in life.
So, I would say, no.
