Oh, ahem, while I'm here.

It is very annoying when messages in the inbox have 'hey' as the subject line, and the body of the message is blank. Set a minimum character requirement.

And then I’ll also say that once I’m in the bond UI, I can’t figure out how to get out of it. There’s nothing that will like let you choose from the menu again you can only go to settings.

(Truncated for relevance...)

I found how to get out of Bond quite by accident. While it would be nice to have be an "X" button top-right like for most other "windows" but here's a mnemonic of sorts: "Think Outside the Box"

...as in click outside of it and Bond reduces back to its usual icon bottom right.

For me, doing a search for someone "not" attached, most of the profiles I manage to find, say they've been gone, many a year or more.

Filter out old/inactive profiles. Maybe make the profile auto delete after say 6 months to a year. Or just do a purge - annually.

That's like searching the obituaries for a date.... not hardly worth the fee.

That's the only thing I have ever considered negative.

Display existing orientation / contact preference fields on profiles

Silverheat(sub male) • Jan 1, 2026
One improvement that would significantly increase usability on Cage would be to display the sexual orientation and contact preference fields directly on user profiles.

Cage already allows members to filter by gender and sexual orientation when searching, which indicates that this information is already being collected. However, this data is currently hidden on profile pages, making it difficult for users to understand whether a connection would be appropriate before reaching out.

Many members appear to be creating their own ways to indicate who they are interested in being contacted by, which suggests there may be a benefit to offering a simple built-in preference display.

Making these existing fields visible (with appropriate privacy controls) would:

Reduce misdirected messages
Improve matching accuracy
Save time and emotional energy
Make the community feel more respectful and intentional
This would require minimal technical lift while offering a meaningful quality-of-life improvement for users.

Thank you for considering it.
