Can anyone "decode" a strange encounter I had?

A few years ago, I bought a few leather belts on ebay, and it turned out the craftsperson that made them lived near me. I left a postive review about her belts, and that was that. Then a week later, the vendor contacted me and asked if I'd like to talk. I said ok, and we contacted one another. She asked me what types of belts or other leather products I might like. I had noticed she sold a lot of leather goods, which were nice, but I didn't associate them with anything except fashion. Everything was casual. Then, I'm not sure why, but I must have mentioned something to her that she didn't like. To this day, I don't know what it is, but she became angry. I tried to figure out what I had said to offend her. But then she "unleashed" a really hostile threat to me, something to the effect that she would come over and 'beat the shit out of me" with a vicious menacing tone, something clicked in my head, thinking she might have a lot of customers into BDSM and I began wondering if she was trying to "dominate" me in some way. Now, besides not being "submissive," I'm from Brooklyn, and although I have developed a "civil" mode of presentation to people, my tough Brooklyn kid rose up, and I said something about she should come over because if she did, "I'd take her efing sorry ass and throw her out the mf window. Well, she immediately changed tones, and reverted to speaking in a causal "normal" way. In fact, we did meet and became friends for a while. I've been trying to understand this encounter ever since it happened. Does anyone have a sense of what might have been going on, because I don't. Thanks, : < }

Looks like it was a cute little game to me.

But it worked out, and you were able to be friends for a time to boot.

If she were truly offended, she'd have made her threats then blocked your ass.

As for the rest, I wouldn't even waste time and energy thinking about it. You'll find all degrees of weird on the Net, especially in the BDSM realm. It turned out OK, so roll with that.

I've met such ppl.
They seem to have the inability of not being dominant forcibly once they know your in this lifestyle until they know youre not gonna submit just cause they say so.
