My significant other explains what she likes about bondage.

I've experimented with some Shibari bondage with my consensual partner, and we both enjoyed it. It's not a central part of our relationship, but it has had a positive place. I'm wondering whether any women have had the same response of my partner. We engaged in some basic rope bondage; we both felt comfortable initiating the "role playing"; I became curious why my partner enjoyed it, so I asked. She told me that the psychic effect she saw in me--some type of pleasurable fascination--in my behavior in tying her up using traditional methods, and also watching my growing erotic response--which showed in my hands, which slightly quiver, my attempt to be as "professional" as possible, and my wide-eyed enjoyment of slowly undressing her and tying her up made her feel a certain pleasure in sensing I enjoyed her sensual "power." I'm asking because neither of us are super "into" the role playing, but find it enjoyable. Another remark she made was that there was no pain involved in any of the "scene" we devised and she found that a turn on. So, bottom line, does all that make sense to you? Like I said, I'm not an expert and I don't intend to be. But is's nice to include it in our dynamics.

They like to feel being controlled in every way. Mine wants to feel forced to get beat with nothing she's able to do about it no matter how much he loves it.

Sounds all good, what's not to enjoy? Don't overthink...

What I saw in both replies is about the size of it.

I won't get too much into my past experiences being a Shibari subject, but at that time for me it was about impending pain the humiliation or vulnerability to what I "had coming to me".

The second reply has some of the best words to live by either in BDSM or mainstream.

Don't Overthink. It's a great recipe to turn your best woody into an acorn.

Totally unrelated but I'm glad I took a second look at this thread again after too quickly skimming the Forum topics.

The first time I could have sworn this thread was titled:

"My significant other explains what she likes about boners"

Helps to pay attention to detail at least a little. Same can go for experimenting with different kinds of playtime.

That's My 2 cents for the day.

Big fan of shibari here
Ive found with my rigger its a bit of everything
The feeling of the rope and his hands
The loss of power
Knowing that he is enjoying every second of putting rope on me and not knowing what they will be
I am a masochist so I love coconut rope that gives that diffrent feel but then other ropes do that as well
I also find ropes grounding
