Nipple Piercing Questions

Ken TT(sadist male) • Mar 16, 2026
Greetings All:

This is my first post here, so I'll keep it light. My wife (Jane) and I are mid-60's and have been playing lightish D/s for a long time. Since I'm retired now, I have more time to focus on my wife and slowly deepening her submission. I am thinking of piercing my wife's nipples (I would like to do this myself) and I wanted to get both Men's/Dom's and women's/sub''s input on pierced nipples on women.

One concern is that I'm always playing with Jane's tits and pinching her nipples, will the piercings hinder or enhance my ability to cause her pain through her nipples? The upside I see is that she can go low profile with small barbells and can also put in nice, large, dangling pendants, when the mood strikes. Are there other considerations I should be aware of?

Thanks, Ken

Welcome. Good first question.

I know the thrill in performing this yourself may be exciting, but if you don't have experience in piercing and specifically piercing nipples, I strongly recommend letting a professional perform the task and follow their guidance on recovery.

I've never heard of nor experienced where piercings hinder pain or play. You might need to be careful not to snag them.

But my interactions in this area are limited. I hope those submissives who are pierced or have experience in the area respond to you.

Best of luck!

Hello, and welcome to forum posting!

Even as a masochist (no longer active) that was one area I made a limit.

(That's Just Me... It's not a remark on your choices). Like that wolf guy wrote above, after all is said and done there's always the risk of snagging. The thought of that is a skin-crawler for me. That's a big reason why I never had my ears pierced for that matter.

So, I did a little digging because I have never had that done and cannot speak from personal experience. Due to there being a whole lot of nerves in that area, it's often described as a sharp, intense pinch that lasts only a few seconds, but pain is somewhat subjective, but usually more intense than ear piercings. While the initial pain is brief, the area will be tender and sore for a few weeks, with full healing taking 6–12+ months. Toss in the fact that you write that you're both in your mid 60s, the process may take even longer. Also, that timeline may not work for you since you said that you're into nipple and boob play.

Double on that for any DIY hole punching. Since you asked, I'd advise against it unless you are trained/experienced in body piercing of course and have all the proper equipment The potential for something going wrong definitely exists, and atop all that there's the possibility of infection.

But... you didn't post what she thinks about this idea. Piercing nipples and all that goes with it is something that should be discussed between you two.

Good luck to you two whatever you decide.

i have always wanted to have pierced nipples and the barbell thing sounds great. i wonder what she says about the whole thing.
i wonder about how people could pierce the eraser part of the nipple, that is a hard no way for me. im pretty sure the best way would be behind the whole eraser like with all that meat halfway into the aereole. ive ALWAYS thought about it, never done it, want to do it. have a nice day etc wow its hot in calif!

This is not something that is a DIY process. I would recommend finding a good reputable professional. And her overall health should be taken in to account. I had a few places tell me to consult my doctor beforehand. It can also take a long time to heal, it was probably almost a year for me. And yes, I got the jewelry caught a number of times. Lost the ball to one of the barbells and found out I was allergic to the tape I was using until I could get a replacement set of jewelry. All kinds of adventures. I don't regret getting it done and it's been about six years now. But it is something SHE should think about and be sure it's worth the pain and healing time. And it will interfere with the type of play you prefer until it is healed. Even wearing a bra was agony the first week. There is an online shop called Body Candy and they have a number of educational blogs about all types of piercings. You both may want to read some of their articles to get a better sense of it all.

I think it depends on the person I’ve had my nipple pierced 4 times, 3 time prior to having a child at one point I had two piercing in each nipple. It did help with stimulation. After breastfeeding I lost a lot of feeling in my nipples and got them re done with one piercing in each it took them about 4-6 months to heal (very important to let them heal before playing and first time having them pierced it takes about 9 months) but I have noticed that they do have more stimulation in them now.
