Cleaning toys

I'm looking for advice / tips for the best way to clean sex toys so they are safe to use again.

Soap and water.

When you say again, do you mean with different people, and what kind of toys?

Usually liquid hand soap & water works for most toys.

It is very important to check the manufacturer instructions because the type of material toy is made from and lube used (if any) can make a difference for health safety.

Depends on the kind of toys you are talking about:

Are the insertables? If so, what are the made of? Silcone or latex?

Are you talking leather, such as hoods, floggers, and the like? Is it real leather or vinyl?

Rope?

Different toys need different kinds of cleaners.

As pointed out in previous posts all depends on particular toy. Usually, for those metal, plastic, silicon and similar anti-bacterial hand soap should do, as long as you can properly rinse, too. Isopropyl Alcohol, 90% after cleaning is a good idea too. But again, check cleaning instructions and test on part of toy that is not used on/in body. After disinfecting, rinse with clean water.
Another good practice for insertable toys, especially when planning on sharing between people, use condoms on them.

The problem with this thread the OP has not returned to clarify what sort of toys. Without this info how can we give any advice.

So if the toy is porous in any way shape or form, if fluids get onto it, there is no way to 100% clean it, to take it back to being non fluid bonded to the person it was used on. My advice, to tops, bag it, and label it with the play partners name, if they will be a regular - if not give it to them. You can not use it on anyone else, without huge risks, and frankly some of the advice above is only any use with metal, or glass toys. If you get blood on it, it can never be cleaned fully, bag and label it, or give it to the person. Toys used on a wide range of people, must be bagged, so there is no touching of toys and cross contamination, and store them carefully, so bags don't get ripped or damaged.

To those who do whip play, whip bottoms, or whip catchers -as some call them- have your own cracker/poppers bonded to you, get the whip top to put your cracker/popper on their whip. If they refuse, or can't, walk, don't play with them. The more expensive option here is to have your own whips.

In a similar light to that comment, the only way to be 100% safe as a bottom, is to have your own toys, and bring them to a play session, and take them home with you. Putting a condom on a toy, is only good, assuming it does not rip, or slide off, and even if it is the correct size, stays on, depending on the play, fluids might still make their way up above the edge of the condom, and onto the toy.
