That's the go-to for a lot of today's expressions.

FWB only ends badly when either side forgets the "Friends" part and start trying to go to a next level that is not offered.

I have and still have a few decent FWB deals going.. Went/is going well in that they remain friends even though the "benefits" are closed for the foreseeable future.

Working on that "pure and innocent" look.

For me, FWB covers infinite dynamics between a one and done hook up and committed relationship.

i want the latter, but in the absence of opportunity, a FWB can be an ongoing relationship that doesn't reach the criteria of an all in relationship.

Oversimplifying, i see us all as a box of puzzle pieces and life is about trying to fit those pieces together into a cohesive picture. Relationship can happen when some of our pieces fit with anothers. If enough of the mutually important pieces fit together ('committed relationship'), we have more of a picture than if just a few ('FWB').

For me, a FWB can be a stop gap relationship for both, for some it suffices for their total relationship needs/desires. i see infinite variation, so i think communication is still key.
