Popcorn and Mojitos

So a funny thing happened to me on the way to the Forum . . .

I've noticed a few things lately, and to be quite honest, it's caused me to pull back from interacting as much here. BUTT . . . I'll focus on one item in specific.

I cannot tell whether or not this is an adult site. Activities of late feel like children have logged into their parent's accounts. But I digress (as I'm apt to do). This isn't about childish antics. It's about the content of this site. Since I assumed this was an adult web site with sometimes kinky shenanigans going on, when a man (or woman, or anyone or anything else, hey I don't want to leave anyone out 😉) posts a topic in the Forum or even blog such as "Tell me how you really enjoy inserting a cucumber in your ear", why on earth does anyone have to respond and question whether or not someone else might use the information as "wanking material". I have seen a good number of times, someone responds "why should I tell you since some guy will probably just masturbate to it?" (Pretty sexist - I'm hoping others might be inclined to wank too.)

Ok? I'm waiting? What's the problem? I've written plenty of erotic short stories and inserted numerous comments to blogs and Forums wherein I hope and pray (I'm religious) someone literally finds it kinky enough to rub one off to. (And if you're rubbed more than one off, please let me know . . . 😳😏) Isn't this the exact site that wanking to someone else's comments in an anonymous fashion might be acceptable? And if I . . . I mean someone else . . . finds your responses to be titillating without letting you know they are spreading peanut butter on their nether regions while listening to Lords of Acid . . . whoops, sorry. A bit too specific. Ok, back on point. What does it matter if someone finds a response sexually stimulating enough to go take care of their urges? This site should be about enjoying that sort of thing.

Thoughts? Am I wrong on suggesting maybe if you aren't interested in providing your comments on a specifically sexual question, maybe just move on to the next topic?

And for those who don't wish to comment, please enjoy the popcorn and mojitos offered at the door.

Wishing you ALL all the best on this fabulous Friday!

When I saw the word popcorn in the title, I thought Topeka Dom, the king of popcorn was writing the post. LOL.

Well, there is still some more popcorn left over from the rimming post for some reason

I've wondered this myself, though I don't have an answer for you. This seems exactly like the place for trading kinky stories and generating ideas for future adventures with current or pending partners.

However at least of late there has been some aggressive censorship on these topics and I find myself valuing the cage less and less as the forums seem to be less informative and less stimulating. Blogs are a mixed bag. Some interesting discussions here and there and certainly less community censorship however never in the same strain and scope of the discussion my foggy memories seemed to recall finding on the forums when I first joined.

Perhaps there exists a core membership and they've grown exhausted about these topics, feeling they've been posted before. Perhaps new blood who might ask about these questions is not lingering. Or as we may have seen, we as a community prefer to quibble over details.

When I first joined TheCage, I was excited about reading people’s ideas, stories, and adventures about the Lifestyle. It’s truly disheartening to see conflicts arise, especially since our focus should be on unity and community.

My personal motto is to always be kind, respectful, and compassionate. I choose to engage in forums only when I have something constructive to say or when sharing insights from my own experiences. This approach aligns with the purpose of forums—to foster meaningful and supportive discussions.

If you’re troubled by something in a forum, I believe it’s often better to address it privately with the original poster or simply to ignore it. Public confrontations often escalate and lead to an environment where productive conversations become scarce, and that’s a shame.

I sincerely hope we can overcome this negativity and return to the supportive environment we all value. <3

P.S. If I ever end up posting something that made someone horny enough to "rub one off" I'd pat myself in the back and go tell My Daddy HAHA 😄

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Very funny post LL. I do agree with you. And the kink shaming is also getting out of hand too. I mean, geez, don't shame anyone unless you KNOW they're into humiliation kink :p Otherwise, be an adult and move on.

Anyway, I stumbled upon the thread you mentioned again last night. I was going to use it as another example in the genderification thread, but geez, I'm too tired now!

It's a fucking bdsm/kink/fetish site, for fuck's sake. Literally ANYTHING posted is game for wanking. It does not matter what it is... good, bad, awesome, epic, sad, horrific, mundane, tragic, sexual, non-sexual, profound, stupid, funny, serious... someone, somewhere could/will/might get off on it. Good for them! Wank anyway, everyone! Wank awayyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Yes, now that the dust has settled, let us all return to our libidinal states. I haven't wanked in.... well I take that back. At any rate, I agree that there hasn't been much here to wank about lately... someone should do a what's in your wank bank thread.

My sentiments exactly; I sometimes do wish the conversations would get a bit...well, racier.

I have noticed though, that the forums seem more dedicated towards discussing relationship issues and general relationship dynamic, as opposed to specific kinks. I always got the idea that the forum administrators sort of preferred it that way; that anything too explicitly sexual or kinky should be discussed either in blogs or in private, and that the forums should, by design, be less graphically erotic.

Maybe I'm wrong though. I've seen some posts get removed merely for bringing up certain kinks, while other threads blather on and on and devolve into shouting matches about "genderfication," or how it's not okay to ask "Women- what is your opinion on blah blah blah."
