Always wondered why this even matters to people. Unless you had a real close or intimate relationship with them, just let it go.

It's happened to me once or maybe twice over the years. Sure, I'd like to know why, but I never dwell on it. I just move on.

Ghosters, frivolous blockers, and those who abruptly cancel their membership (or get thrown out on their asses for having violated Site "Terms of Service"...) ---- They're all equally worthless.

You're not missing out on a damned thing.

Hell, I have had members I never messaged either via DM or on Bond or crossed digital swords with on a forum thread block me... Like I give a flying fuck if they like me or not. It's not like I would want to message them anyway... More power to 'em. Whatever rubs their knobs

If you are talking about specifically on this site; I think being blocked without discernible reason bothers me more. Because then, I always wonder what I did, or what I said, that upset them to the point where they felt the need to do that. I'm always trying to be civil and respectful, and if someone thinks I am not, I would at least like to know what I did wrong.

In real life, being "Ghosted" by someone with whom you thought you were having a close and intimate friendship, especially a romantic one, does hurt.

Consider it a bullet dodged if you are ghosted or blocked without reason as both actions are boorish behavior.

The "ghosted" bit regarding someone with whom you had a close friendship, either platonic or intimate has to suck more, but after some time passes and one gets a better perspective, the one who does the ghosting-- revealed their true nature and in that light they weren't real friends at all.

As for the ones who summarily block people, especially without ever having direct contact---... I don't waste my time trying to figure out "What did I do?" -- they apparently have an overinflated opinion of themselves thinking I'd want to message them anyway. I only notice any blocks when reading forum threads and the "like" button on such individuals' posts is grayed out. No skin off my ass.

I guess I haven't offended anyone on this site to be blocked, but ghosted, wow, I must be really boring, as Miki said it says more about them, I consider it rude at best. Is it too much to say "Good Bye I'm ending this conversation" Some people.........

Ghosted and here's why. If they blocked me the reason is clear, you just don't want to talk to me anymore. If they are deleted from a site or deleted themselves, they either got banned or just don't want an account anymore (I have done this myself). With ghosting you don't know what happened to the person, if they will ever speak again, what happened or anything. There are no definite clues. You are just left to wonder, and people assume the worst, it's our nature.
