I met my first Mistress in the second grade. She was a towheaded little gamine who wore sundresses and pinafores and liked to wrestle with me during recess. (Nowadays we would both be arrested. Or I would be anyway.) It was difficult for me to lose those contests because she was much smaller than I was, but I always managed it anyway. And then when she was triumphantly on top of me, she would slap my face and say "Naughty Naughty NAUGHTY Boy!" Very few things in my life since then have been so pleasant.
