For me I don't view this as breath play. As a teenager my friends and I used to do this to each other. We'd let go when when the person passed out, and if we were nice enough we would catch them on the way down otherwise we'd come to with some interesting marks/bruises. I've always considered it some stupid thing we did as teenagers. I only participated a few times, on both sides, because I liked the sensation before I'd pass out, light and airy and freedom from my body and from the other side the power. I stopped because it simply wasn't safe and realized I could get the same feelings with other substances.
