It seems I made myself a liar not long ago when I said the cage was friendly. I'll have to rescind that statement. Lately it seems a very unwelcoming place to discuss kink.

And I'm not referring to Lambsone. Its perfectly within her right to post most anything on the forum. Its perfectly within her right to ask for something from a perspective she can relate to. I also don't think she or the rest of the community would be particularly bothered is someone other than a lady offered perspective.

If someone finds the topic crass...don't reply. Let it die by suffocation, or let others who might be thrilled for such a space to speak up. Discourse like this will kill the forums.

It’s funny everyone here should be the age of an adult yet there is a bunch of grade schoolers in here.
Why must everyone be included? Do you see two people in public having a conversation and just butt in because it is your right to be included? I’m sure some of you Karen’s do.

It is her right to post anything on the forum as it is everyone else's right to post from their perspectives and not be excluded, especially in a public forum which is different than a blog post in which one has more control over perspective. Wouldn't a friendly place to post be one that's all inclusive?

So, that she only solicits responses from "the ladies" to you, perpetuates genderfication. Do you feel this is deliberate or just the kind of mistake an out of touch "boomer"coming from a very genderized background might make? Do you think by limiting responses to those from "the Ladies" she's excluding others? Do you think genderfication is a problem on this site? Where have you seen it before?

I find these forum discussions to be a black eye for everyone. So I will limit this to one response from my singular and irrelevant perspective. Nothing more. I wash my hands of this.

I certainly agree that it is everyone's right to comment, regardless of if they were included or not. However, it is not everyone's or anyone's right to be included. No one has the right to force someone to include others, that's a fundamental breach of freedom.

There are also questions to be asked, and conversations to be had which can and do by nature exclude others. We all recognize this as fact. "Calling all gamers for their perspective on XYZ" would be both obvious and necessary to most anyone. Having people who have never played a game before would make for very tedious conversations for minute game mechanics. It is not friendly to aggressively remind the OP that their topic did not include people who don't play video games. Rather, it makes the people who play video games go somewhere else and indirectly excludes them from the community.

Could other groups have added to this conversation? Absolutely, this isn't like the video game example at all in that regard. However, its perfectly reasonable for someone to seek to understand an unique facet from a subset of a demographic, i.e. ladies from the cage. Also, and perhaps the singularly most wild aspect of this entire conversation to me... I don't believe anyone actually cared if other demographics added their say into the mix. Including the OP. A turn of phrase here seems to have turned into a hurricane.

It’s appropriate for me not to engage with you anymore. It isn’t helping the community. I apologize for hurting your feelings and what I said above. I should have said nothing at all or phrased it differently. This discord we have been having for a while isn’y helping our community 😒 I’m taking responsibility for my part and I’m done with it.

This is my last forum post for some time. I have some personal reflection to do. If you think I’m a liar because I came here to own it so be it.
