Actually, weeks after the original posting and responses, since I's rather new in these parts, I've got a few ideas in mind. Old favourites I've loved for... well, decades, on some cases.

What Dreams May Come
The Blood Oranges
The January Man
K-Pax
The Corpse Bride

And a newer one

Mortal Engines

@Zphearycle Do you mean The January Man with Kevin Kline and Alan Rickman? I thought I was the only one that ever watched that!

Of course I mean that one; both of them were terrific, and the overall cast was a full crew of some of the best actors then alive!

If you are just looking for any titles that list could be endless. Here’s a wee list of films that have had a huge impact on my life in terms of world view and just general life...I’ll leave the reasoning pretty ambiguous but a wee summary below each.

My favourites are

Night of the living dead (original)

The zombie film that started it all, watched it so many times and has not lost its edge despite being nearly 50 years old.

The Wickerman

Another classic horror, British this time, avoid the nick cage version like the plague. The original is slow but the pay still sends chills up my spine.

Bubble boy

This is more recent, comedy. It totally changed my life. Such a positive theme throughout.

I have many more but these are always my go tos.
