If somebody messages multiple times with no prior convo that's a cause for blocking as it can feel like harassment. Or a message that directly says something you listed as a trigger/hard limit in your bio is an instant block for me. It can be used as a tool to 'ghost' people for whatever reason. I would imagine some might be:
- If someone was on here for 'fun' and convo got too real - Married/partnered already and this was more of a porn or validation site for them - If you show patterns of behavior that person sees as either immature, not kink safe, etc. ( A crude example would be a man messaged me asking if I had a champagne bottle and if I was anal training to try to use that) It was a first message, sexualizing without consent and was dangerous because items like that require prep, time, removing metal and paper, etc. - A general 'hi' message could get you blocked as well. If you don't have the effort to put in a real conversation with somebody and just send a 'Hi' message or something like that, you may end up blocked so that the person doesn't have to engage with low effort messages. Try to imagine it like a dating app, you unmatch with someone if you aren't a good fit. Blocking is a tool that some use openly, others use sparingly. The cause is relevant to the person, gender, types of attention they want, etc. |
