We haven't lost our femininity but it does show up differently depending if the woman is hiding her submissive nature. On the other side, there are those that despise "feminist" women. I prefer feminine/submissive women but I don't despise women who aren't. I respect people's choices, and despise those who don't. This discussion keeps reminding me of how limited women's choice were, back when they couldn't even vote and how depressing it could be to be so repressed. It reminds me of "The Story of an Hour" ... not all women are cut out to be what society expects and should not be punished for not conforming to the norm, but society should not be constantly bending a woman's will either. There's a balance. |
