The ring of power and bdsm
Is it just me or do the words "and in the darkness bind them" make you think j.r.r. tolkin had more than an old coat under his bed.

Ya, he was definitely referring to an ‘O’ ring....?
But on another note altogether.. I have often pondered why the ‘ring of power’ which was the most powerful of all was in fact evil... I mean I know Sauron had evil embedded into the ring... but I mean the symbolim of it.... when he had clearly seen in his (Tolkien) lifetime the triumph of ‘good allies’ over evil empires. And the fact that power alone is not evil it’s how it’s used. And the fact in that the other peoples of Middle Earth have rings but still could not fight the ring of power together— but they did in the end so really what was it all about? Ok.... need more wine ?. |
