there is another thread here you might enjoy the answer on..

"If your after real and doco styled "this is Femdom or ProDomme life" turn away now. If your after SSC and following community standards, turn away now. Consent and safety is flimsy at best. Its two twenty somethings stumbling through life and their differing sexuality, trying to earn a living, that happens to have BDSM in the story line. There are a few laughs and few "oh the poor bugger" moments. If watched like, you read 50 shades and you abandon all you know and just take it as ENTERTAINMENT FACTOR ALONE, its some what entertaining if you like coming of age type movies. "

I will say that for short little takes I enjoyed the content of the show. To me, it was meant to make one laugh at the changes in young lives and how some begin the path to self-discovery.

Two thumbs up from TX

It's entertaining and funny (in parts), not meant to be taken seriously. Yes, the consent violations are cringeworthy, however it's better than 50 Shades of Shit.

As for it not giving an accurate representation of the BDSM world - it never claims to. Meanwhile, the Internet and porn have given the ignorant realistic expectations of interpersonal relationships? 🤣

I binge-watched it yesterday, had a good laugh. Yes, it doesn't accurately portray the lifestyle, but it was good for some laughs. Hope to see a season 2.

Update:
I have watched the show and I found it exactly as I'd hoped, funny and entertaining. I loved Carter, lol... Poor kid needseds money so bad he's thrust into this assistant position in a "crash course" rather quickly! 😂 I think the show needed the bdsm vehicle to make it entertaining. If it were about a dentist and his assistant, how interesting and funny would that be?. It's lighthearted humor about these 2 young people trying to find themselves and live what they think their lives should be. Sounds like a lifetime or hallmark movie, right? Maybe? Just my 2 cents... And I had to borrow 1 cent of it.. 😁

Has anyone seen this new show? It’s only a handful of very short episodes but it’s funny as hell. I hope they renew it for season 2.

No apologies necessary. Adidas, you are welcome to hijack any of my posts anytime, and Dollmaker, I understand completely how some subject matter, when treated as comedy especially, can be abrasive. I’m glad some people found the show humorous. I’m a huge fan of ocreative and outstanding film and TV.

My next recommendation is Imposters on Netflix, 2017, I believe. One of the best series I’ve seen.
