Finding your community

Hii!!! I would really like some advice on finding a community outside of the internet, I don’t think munches and stuff are really going on considering covid and everything so I just wanted to ask for help with trying to find spaces for this lifestyle offline.

I also just would love to have more kinky friends, more people to talk to mainly. I’ve really enjoyed my time on this website and the few chat rooms that I’ve been able to find that aren’t focused on ‘dating’. So if y’all have any advice I’m all ears :^)

Considering where you are I would see what The Woodshed is up to currently, limited activity is my understanding.

Also https://tampabayphoenixclub.com/

And plenty on this link https://domsubfriends.com/cgi-local/wwwdir/db.cgi?db=org&uid=default&state=FLORIDA&view_records=View+Records&ww=on

You could also message John Brownstone (part of Loving BDSM) who is a member here regarding the scene, and communities in Florida.

What seems to be the norm these days is many communities are doing more of their things online, zoom munches etc, but a few places do seem to be operating, but under varying degrees of covid guidelines, some stricter than others. I would ask though is it worth the risk to attend physical places currently? Covid is still killing people, and 'long covid' a condition that some of those who had it, may have been in hospital, or not, leaves your body messed up very badly, cronic fatique, breathing issues, difficulty thinking.

I will say this, there will be a degree of difficulty in finding people in the kink scene who are not looking for the next play opportunity, its a problem and getting advice, mentorship or support with no strings attached or having to beat of the thirsty will be a challenge. Not impossible but hard to find, the thirst is strong out there. My advice look for contacts among subs first, and not doms or switches. Too many from those groups will be looking for the next play time, fresh/new meat person.

I'm going to ask if there's places where people can focus on each other in 1 on 1 interactions. That doesn't mean there can't be groups. But it does mean "Get away from the group in the same location".

It's a hell of a lot easier to focus on each other without "Group here, group there, group in your face". I can see why people avoid group interactions. There's always someone "interjecting". I don't mind group convos at times, but all the time? Every time? I've always gotten better results with "You. Me. Away from others. Talk. Do. DING! Fun."

I thought this site had a "personals" section. There seems to be one on the main page. Have you tried it? Sounds as though if you did, it wasn't all that great. Honestly, even meeting one on one with someone you never met before is somewhat problematic what with this "exponential covid explosion" crap that's overrunning the country. But while difficult, it is not completely impossible so lemme wish you luck!
