Anything can stand in place as a collar so it is best to pick something meaningful and specific to the person. Sometimes I think people think too literally and rigidly about what a collar must be or looks like. It can be anything you want it or need it to be... Collars can be collars, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, piercings, tattoos, colognes or perfumes, certain items of clothing or cloth accessories, and much more or much less. Or nothing at all.

Glad OP is separating out day collars from play collars from other collars. Everything is not appropriate or even desirable everywhere.

And I agree with SJG... I'm not wearing a damn petco collar and I'm not giving a damn petco collar to someone. SBD even if/when I had people into pet play, they would not be wearing a damn petco collar out of scene or, hell, probably in scene either.

some of the gate chain bracelets and necklaces are nice, some even have jewelled padlocks
