first of all only you can decide what level of wear you are interested in ..and that should drive your purchase.

Anyway I can speak to my experience with a metal cage; it's the only one i have and the only one i've tried. I've never had a keyholder or Dom but i still like to wear it for a few hours at a time for a few reasons i think but basically because it's really hot.

So I think this stainless steel cage is great for wearing around the house and preferably naked. I have used a few different cages from plastic to metal. In my experience, the plastic is the beginning cages. You get them and try them out to see if you like it. my issue with most plastic cages is hygene, cleaning while its on is near impossible and theybusually get build up due to urinating thru them. custom built metal cages are usually where people go when they want to make it a long term thing. they are built to size and more open and easy to cleanbwhile wearing.
I personally use a 3d printed surgical nylon cage from customchastity. it extremely light and strong. It has an open design almost as much as metal but not quite.
