What has been your biggest accomplishment or proudest moment

There's been a lot going on in the forums lately and I think it's time for some smiles. So tell us what has been your biggest accomplishment or moment where you felt so proud of yourself, or even someone else? It doesn't have to be BDSM related, professional, or even person. It's just whatever you want to share. And then how do you get yourself back on track when you've experienced failure?

I'll start with the amount of continued growth and traumatic healing that I've worked so hard towards is finally paying off. If I were to meet my younger self she'd be so proud.

I did a lot my University during my undergrad. I helped others study for tests, do their homework. I would get requests to join clubs and see them to the finish line. I would get calls at 2:00 AM for help on homework which wasn't even mine but gosh golly we would figure it out together. I put my heart and soul into everyone of those interactions. On campus by 7 AM off by 12-1 AM six to seven days a week the whole year. Brutal.

I never expected anything back. I really didn't think about it. That was until graduation when the Professors of the University pulled me aside an told me they were going to be giving me a special award at the ceremony for the of the efforts I had dedicated towards the school and its students publicly and privately.

I have no idea how they found out, or how much they knew. I'm certain there's some level of plagiarism implications in there about homeworks if they knew everything. Somehow that made it all real for me though. I'm proud of who I was back then.

The day I graduated nursing school. I had gone to school full-time during the week and worked full time as a CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant) nightshift on weekends. All while maintaining a functioning household and managing my husband at the time's medical care. My entire family flew to FL to see my pinning (nursing school graduation) and celebrate the accomplishment. It was the first time I met my nieces in person(they were 18months and 10months at that time), we had only video-chatted until then. My older of the 2 neices still wants to be a nurse when she grows up because I let her play with my stethoscope and listen to people's hearts back then, she will be 11 this year.

There were times that I didn't think that I would pass, but I did. They moment that pin was placed on my scrubs the tears that fell....

I saved my sister from drowning when she was little. We got a backyard pool when my brother and I were in Junior High. We had a bunch of friends over and we were all around the circumference if it when my baby sister climbed the ladder with an inner tube around her waist.

She dove in head first and ended up kicking her legs with her upper body under the water. We all started laughing because it looked funny. All of a sudden I realized that she wasn't righting herself. I rushed over and turned her right side up and got her out of the pool.

Years later she told me that she had almost given up hope that anyone was going to help her when I grabbed her.

Even more years later, her own youngest daughter nearly drowned in a bigger pool at the apartment building I was living at. I took her and her oldest sister swimming. The older one wanted to slide down the ladder so I told the younger one to stay out of the pool until I could catch her sister and then I would come back for her.

So I'm in the middle of catching her sister when I heard some distress at the corner of the pool behind me. I look and see her struggling in the water. She couldn't wait 2 minutes for me. I caught her sister, sat her on the side, and tried to rush to the other one.

I made it thankfully, but what made me really mad was that the life guard was just sitting on his rear in a lounge chair, watching the whole thing while this kid was drowning.

I wouldn’t say biggest accomplishment but still an accomplishment.
First 18 month deployment to Iraq I came back with the same number of fingers and toes that I got there with, no additional holes, inner monologue filter on the fritz parts on back order.
Second 18 month deployment to Iraq came back with the same number of fingers and toes that I got there with, no additional holes, same number of soldiers I got there with same number came home, inner monologue filter fucked, parts no longer needed.

Mine are 2:
1. My biggest accomplishment was helping my sibling during labor. Her ex husband almost passed out had to walk away and I got her through it. I was there when my nephew was born it was an amazing experience.

2. Waking up every morning. Im a survivor of suicidal depression working every day at inner peace.
