Distance and travel

What is the farthest distance anyone has traveled to meet someone of a bdsm site and how long did you communicate before you met?

I traveled from Cleveland, OH to Kalispell, MT back in the Fall of 2000. We were members of the Christian BDSM site, so I met him in the Fall of 1999 and grew to know him from comments he made in posts. And we also talked on the phone. So about a year before we met in person.

Ooo I met a friend on here! I guess we talked about a few weeks and we both traveled an hour ish to see each other! It was an awesome day. Went to the aquarium. Our babygirl side definitely emerged when we both touched the sting rays haha!! 😂

We communicated for a little while (maybe a few weeks or around a month?), and then he came to visit (rented an Air BnB for a few days).
I then visited him at his place the next time.
The travel aspect was was pretty brutal- a flight, a train and then a bus… roughly 8 hours one way.

Round trip of 200 miles, and I suppose about 6 months, of communication before I made that trip, they had visited me before hand several times though. I used a train to visit them.

I regularly travel from Michigan to Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and California to see my partners. The shortest period of time I've spent talking to someone before traveling to see them was about two months.
I have an odd situation, and one that facilitates travel. I also tend to have a difficult time meeting people who fit my unusual standards, so when I do, I make it work.

I have flown from NY to Atlanta a few times for a partner. We talked for about 2 months before meeting up. We met up twice. Sadly the distance was too great for what we wanted to accomplish. Otherwise my current Master is about a 3-4 hour drive and we talked for about a month before meeting up. Mainly due to schedules.

I find 1 or 2 months is a good amount of time to talk to someone before taking the plunge and traveling quite a bit of distance.

Few months , 3 to 6 months , 2 hour plane ride meet and greet , meet in the middle. Meet a few times in a year before anything still keep it going in the second year you need to more time to keep it growing.
Getting mentally invested before getting hooked. Meeting for the first time see if the same connection as online but if its not go wish it well. But you gotta learn grow and evolve just be. serendipity finding something good with out looking for it. Having peace good ego go by flow. Two people have have connection to click one can not do it alone both have to or its not the same.
But really gotta open more doors not everyone will be your own home town few hours away it depends. But opening up your soul to someone.
Letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams you both do that together. Perfect does not really exist you have to look inside and out soul beyond the looks and body to get the rest of someone.

Less than a week talking then he drove 414.5 miles, stayed 2 nights then we both drove back. That was a good few years ago. Lately, I flew about 50 miles less but stayed 3 nights then flew back alone ☺️
