Dom/sub dynamic discussion
Just a random discussion question I was thinking on.
Do you think anyone could train themselves to be a dom or sub type, or do you think people are naturally one or the other ? How did you get into the lifestyle, did you just know you were a dom, sub, or switch? |

Since training requires knowledge and some degree of experience one could at least start training themselves

It does come naturally in the form of one's "personality type" (Alpha, etc.) ...but learning the finer points of "how it works" is important and it's best to observe, listen, and even read from available resources on the subject... Equally important is to not put too much stock in pop culture depictions ("Shades of Gray comes to mind but that does not mean it's "bad"-- just not representative of where the rubber really meets the road. But generally speaking, pop culture references are all too often written by those who are outside-looking-in and should not be used for a "template" or expectations..
---------------------------------------- Regarding the second part of the post, I never got into what is called "the lifestyle"-- I simply liked it rough and went from there. Some call that "just" a kinkster, yet that is what worked for me. When I was active of course, I kept my "public life" and "what goes on when the shades are down" separate. There's no "one size fits all" for this stuff so opinions can and will vary. This was just my personal take on it. |
