How many memberships

I looked through some forum posts and help topics but could not find anything on this topic. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of active paid or free memberships a person can have at the same time?

We don’t allow multiple accounts on THE CAGE as we want to keep our community authentic, personal and built on genuine connections. In rare and exceptional cases you may request permission to have a second profile, for example if it is for educational purposes or to promote a specific event. Please note that commercial profiles for products, services, etc., are not allowed.

If you come across what seems like a duplicate profile, you can help us by visiting the user’s profile and clicking the Report button. This helps keep THE CAGE safe, genuine and welcoming for everyone.

Thanks for your question!

Thank you for replying!

I have a clarifying question to ensure I understand. I know you said it’s not permitted, but you also mentioned if we suspect someone has multiple profiles to report it. By default a user would not be able to have more than one profile under their ip correct? Or is there another way (outside of reporting) that the system is able to identify that if that is permitted?

We use several methods to help prevent users from creating multiple accounts. For security reasons, we don’t share the details of how we monitor this, but we do our best to ensure it is one account per user. We also value the community’s support in confidentially reporting any accounts that may be attempting to bypass these measures.

I hope this (necessarily) vague answer is somewhat helpfu!
