So close and yet so far away, i dream i hold your hand, then slipping through my fingers, you fall away like some grains of sand
A dream lasts for just a moment, in the moment we share a kiss, your tender lips blend with mine, a moment spent in bliss
I look into your pretty face, your eyes are pools so deep, i swear i can see into your soul, inside i want to creep
I dream of you loving me, in this dream we feel the same, i want you and you want me, bound by cupids game
Entwined through the universe, across all space and time, there you are my Goddess, a beauty so sublime
Full of grace and tenderness, a heart so full of love, kindness personified, a Angel from above
A hand when i am down and sad , you dry a teary eye, a kind word or a smile from you, gives me the strength to try.
The strength just to carry on, you push my doubts away, you offer me encouragement, to write another day
To show the world both sides of me, to be the man i am, to write things from my heart, to do the best i can
Inspiration comes in many forms, a dream, a song, a muse, sometimes its as clear as day, often garbled and confused
But somehow it works out, the stanzas fall in line, inspiration makes itself heard, you find it in my ryhme
So thank you inspiration, wherever or whoever you may be, thank you for the guidance, you give me eyes to see
Let me see through the fog, to feel love, feel fear, feel whole, you make me feel complete again, you've gave me back my soul
