A poem inspired by a chat with a Daddy new to the role, Daddy's you are not alone
A Daddy's fear
I want to care and nurture you, to fill your life with Sun, I'm terrified of messing up, I know you are the one
Sometimes I get things right, i often feel I've got it wrong, the only thing I'm sure about, is with you I do belong
Pushing to hard when patience, is what I really need, learning when to shut up, when the point i must concede
I just want to get it right, this Daddy wants to be the best, I'm glad you've gave me a chance now you've me to the test
Daddy loves you oh so much, he needs you to feel real proud, to feel your Daddy is the best, a stand out from the crowd
But I know I'll get things wrong, it's such a learning curve, but I promise I'll try really hard, to be the Daddy you deserve
I'll chase away your worries, I'll protect you from your fears, I'm here for the long run, to wipe away your tears
To sit you on my knee, if your feeling low and sad, or put you across my knee, if Kittens being bad
To make love to you, in our bubble you are only mine, just sharing a love with you, that will stand the test of time
