Searching for eternity (5)
The Vampire King crawled up the steps, to the dungeon way up high, she could hear him turn the key, she could hear him deeply sigh
He pushed the door open, he stepped inside the door, he stumbled and staggered in, he fell right on the floor
She rush to his aid, in horror she gasped and screamed, the skin upon the Kings face was peeling, or so it seemed
He explained how he'd been hunted by a Vampire slayer, who threw holy water in his face, he managed to fly off before the slayer could give chase
She helped him onto her bed, she asked what would help him heal, he told her he must go out and feed, only blood would make him heal
But she could see he had no strength, she knew he couldn't hunt or fly, but if he never fed soon, he would surely die
The dungeon door was open wide, she could easily simply flee, he could never catch her, once again she could be free
But he looked weak and helpless, she felt a pang inside her heart, even though she was taken by force, there was a connection from the start
She put his head on her lap, he felt her wrist against his lips, his teeth broken into her vein, her blood come out in drips
He didn't want to drink her blood, but without it he would die, he gently fed from her, she released a gentle sigh
Once he had all his needed, he laid quietly on her bed, she sat watching him slowly heal, the skin grew back upon his head
Once he was on his feet, he turned away towards the door, he told her she ways free to leave, she would be a captive hear no more
She reached out and held his hand, she told him she'd like to stay, he said the castle is now her home, he turned and walks away
