Against the grain
Desires, needs, lusts and love, are all matters from the heart, feelings that you must control, now you are apart
No matter how you still may feel, it's a dangerous game to play, it may be fun to share some fun, but it will only last that day
When your lusts been fed and desires met, your still be on your own, your be filled with remorse and heartache, and still be all alone
As much as you pray for the return, of how things were before, you must accept its over, you share a love no more
Its hard to just let it go, when you both shared feelings that were so strong, you knew it wasn't forever, someone else would come along
But that doesn't make it any easier, they still got inside your heart, even when you knew the rules, that were set down from the very start
Now all that's left is memories and a tale of caution wrote in rhyme, you may know it'll end in heartache but you still want them all the time
Though they may have moved on, the facts remain the same, you'd still risk it all for one last kiss, though its going against the grain
Against the sensible thing to do, you'd still stray off the righteous path, for one last night of passion with them or just perhaps share a bubble bath
