Stranger than you think
I rolled into the bar that night just to relax and get a drink, it's funny how some nights end more differently than you'd think
I ordered a largr cold beer I had just put it to my lips, when I lady pushed into my chair, said ouch and rubbed her hip
She apologised for knocking into my wheelchair and she asked was I in anyway hurt, I said no I was quite alright, then she began to flirt
She waited for the bartender, he seemed to take a while all the time we shared small talk, I was taken by her smile
Finally she got her drink, I did ask if I could pay, she shook her head and just said no, I thought, she'd be on her way
But she sat on the stool next to me, she took a sip and said her name, I acknowledged it then politely did the same
Soon we were chatting the drinks flowed throughout the night, she got up to use the rest room, stumbled but I caught her and held on tight
She thanked me for catching her, she said I had strong hands she told me she'd be back and winked then said don't make no other plans
We went home together, she took me to her bed, she made me feel like a real man, even though my legs were dead
Who knew the night would end like this, I only went in for a drink, I guess it proves the old saying, the world's stranger than you think
