THE POET PIRATE
I'm the poet Pirate I sail through the seas and voids of time, searching for ports of ecstasy and putting them in rhyme
Many places i have travelled I'm looking for that special one, to share a glass of Rum with and watch the setting of the Sun
I've boarded many Galleons, there were so many treasures took, each one is a memory, kept written in my book
Fair winds and firey storms have led me at last to you, now I've found my treasure, my hunting days are through
No more will I need my Flintlock or my Sword, I'll hear no more cannons roar, I'm finished with the need for battle, I've found what I've been searching for
I swing down from the crows nest, I take you up into my warm embrace, you know I'm your poet Pirate, I can see it on your gorgeous face
We share there and then our first kiss, we both know it won't be our last, we cut our lines free from your old ship, we sail off together fast
At night we share a cabin, when I'm awake I'm on my own, for my dream girl sails in other waters, whilst I write of our exploits on my phone
