Subway chat
Late on a subway train, destination who knows where, I'm feeling so sad and low, so I didn't really care
Then you sat next to me, my leg it brushed against your thigh, I see your eyes brighten, I'm sure I heard a sigh
In the skirt you were wearing I could see stocking tops of pretty Red lace, for the first time in ages, a smile grew on my face
Your perfume was so lovely, you smelled like a gorgeous Rose, each time the tube rocked, it wafted up my nose
Then you started chatting, you said you're going home, you said you're not in a rush, you live all on your own
She said I looked kind of down, I told her of my plight, she said would I like to get a drink, if I'd like some company this night
We got off at her stop, we headed for her favourite drinking hole, we spent the night chatting, to her I bared my soul
Time flew so quickly, we saw each other many times after that, it's amazing how true love blossomed, from just a subway chat
