"Passion has overthrown tyrants and freed prisoners and slaves. Passion has brought justice where there was savagery. Passion has created freedom where there was nothing but fear. Passion has helped souls rise from the ashes of their horrible lives and build something better, stronger, more beautiful.”
The time has cum once again for us to get ready for the largest Hotel Takeover in Minnesota.
This is our 3rd consecutive year going and we are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
If you have never been to a Hotel Takeover, you do not know what you are missing. Between the vendors, entertainers, and educators there is a lot to do at these events. Lets not forget the Dungeons either. ???
So to any of you that are going, may you have safe travels and we look forward to seeing you there.

Another morning in my stand wait for the elusive buck to come by so I can take him to freezer camp.
As you may notice, there is this white stuff all around me as we are getting the first snow of the year here in North Central MN. At least there isn’t a lot of wind and the birds and squirrels are still having fun all around.
I can say that being out here is my home away from home. It is the place where I can sit and get grounded. Just watching nature in all of its wonder. The Universe has definitely blessed Hekate and I with this beautiful property that we get to call ours.
Yes it can get cold in the winters and steaming hot in the summers. We get a week of fall and spring. But in all honesty, I would not trade it for anything. We have been on this journey to come to this specific time and place and we are right where we are supposed to be. There are new and exciting things happening for us that I will not disclose as of right now, but maybe in the near future.
These are truly the moments I live for. It is only when you realign yourself with the things that truly matter that you start to live life and live it to its fullest. No more chasing after worldly things. I have learned to let go of all of that and just flowing with the Universe and enjoying the journey along the way.
To all of our veterans Far and near. We thank you for your service For all those years.
You sacrificed your time, And some gave your life. You preserved our freedom By willingly paying the price.
Many of you Were sent overseas. You were wounded in battle, With scars and disease.
But courageous and brave, You weathered the storm. You faced every battle With faith and beyond.
We honor you with joy For all that you've done. You stood strong for our country, For our daughters and sons.
So no one stands alone, We walk hand in hand. Remember, we are with you. Together we shall stand.
We salute you today. Hear what we say. Let our words speak eloquently In this special way.
On this day, Let us express our love and thanks For the sacrifice you paid. You served in honor For many years and days, And we will never forget How you were strong and brave.
So the process has started. As you can see, the Artist has a blank canvas from which to start.
The day began with the normal morning stuff then off to Duluth for my 11am appointment.
The first thing up was stencil work making sure that every thing worked and was positioned correctly on my back.
The stencil had to be done in 4 pieces due to the size of the piece.
As you can see from the smudging, it took a couple Runs on the wing of the right shoulder to get it setup perfectly. Once ready, it was a quick break to let it dry in and then the work could begin.
The next hour was all of the work in the center of my back and done the spine. Let me just say that this was the most spicy area. The worst part was the tips of the tail going over the kidney area. This was sitting face forward in a massage chair.
After a quick bathroom break and stretch, it was time to move on. The next hour was spent on my stomach for Left Wing, minus the top little bit.
Another hour of on my stomach and the Right wing was done. Then we went right to the chair to finish both sides top of the Wings. The lines were completed within 3 hours of the stencil being placed.
Stage 1 completed.
Stage 2 of shading gets done in 1 month. Stay tuned. ?

It was just over a year ago that TKP put up a challenge. It was a tattoo challenge to show your ink.
At that time I showed my arm band but, I also stated that I would be getting another one for my back.
Here we are, just over a year later and tomorrow I go in for the first of possibly 3 sessions to have my back done.
It took me a while to find the right artist for the job. We sat down about a week ago and went over the concept. He gave my his opinion and asked if he could make changes to the design so that it reflected exactly what I was wanting. He also has deep knowledge of runes. So he is adding the words I want into the design.
So beginning tomorrow, I will be bring whomever wants to join on this journey. I know that some who read my acceptance challenge said that they wanted to see it when I got it. So instead, I am going to bring you all through the complete journey. From start to finish with pictures of me on the table. You can join if you wish.

One of the pillars to our lifestyle is trust. With trust there is honesty, which is another pillar. With honesty, there is respect for one another. when one is not honest with others it breaks trust and shows that there was no respect for others.
One of the core values to our lifestyle “Do No Harm“. This means that in whatever we do that we cause no harm Physically, mentally, or emotionally. Breaking trust causes Harm. Not being honest causes Harm. When you cause harm, you show a lack of respect to those people. Not only do you lack respect for those people, but, the lifestyle as a whole.
Samhain is a pagan festival that originated with the ancient Celts and is thought to be the origin of Halloween.
Samhain marked the end of summer and the harvest, and the beginning of winter, which the Celts associated with death. It was also a time when the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was thin, allowing spirits to visit the living.
Samhain was celebrated with feasting, dancing, nature walks, and building altars to honor ancestors. Altars often included apples, pumpkins, or other fall crops to symbolize the end of the harvest, and skulls or skeletons to represent the spirits of the dead.
I see a lot of people here and other sites that are frustrated with not being able to find partners and the such. (Myself included)
One of the things that I have noticed is the lack of authenticity from people. It is as if who they portray themselves to be online is not who they are in the “real world”.
This is incredibly frustrating to a lot of us that are seeking real connections.
When Hekate and I met and we started talking, I told her straight out that “What you see is what you get!” I did not hide who I was or am with her in the beginning. I did not hide what I came out of or where my path was leading me. I did not hide the damaged parts of me and only show her the parts of me that were my best qualities. That would have been a disservice to her and what we started would have been on a flawed foundation.
She did the same. I knew from where it was that she came and what she had been through. The good, the bad, and the ugly. It is because we were authentic with one another that we are here where we are today. Are we perfect? No!! But we are perfect for each other. We continue to grow and we continue to be authentic with one another. Is it easy, generally yes. Is it scary. Yes. Being authentic means that you are also vulnerable. And as many of you may know, that shit can be used against you if you are not with the right person. It can be cause you to shut down and not want to be your true authentic self. But, I digress.
My main point is this. Do not let others frustrate you. Be authentic. Stay true to yourself and show that authenticity to others when talking with them. Let them be authentic with you. It is what builds a foundation into one hell of a great relationship.
And if someone isn’t being authentic with you, then they are not your person(s).
If you are the one not being authentic, then I suggest you take a look in the mirror and do some deep soul work until you can be authentic with yourself and others.
