Vision....What is yours? Do you have one or are you walking through this life on an aimless path that you hope will bring you to a place of happiness one day? "A man without a vision shall perish!" This Bible quote could not be truer in it's wording. If you do not have a vision, you will perish. you have nothing to look towards in order to keep you on a path to bring you to a place that you want and desire to be.
As a Dominant, I have a vision. I know where it is that I want to be. I can see it in my minds eye. Every step that I take, I take to bring me closer to that Vision. When I talk to people that are new and are struggling to figure it out, the first thing that I ask is "What is your vision? Where is it that you see yourself?" Without that, you do not know what path to take. Now of coarse, when you are new and just learning about the lifestyle, that can be a hard question to answer. Even so, you have the ability to imagine yourself in the place that you want to be, that you want to get to. It may be vague at first but, as you start to learn and talk with others, the pieces start coming together. They form a picture in your mind of what it is you want, need, and desire.
When I talk with a prospective submissive, I ask about their vision. I want to see if it lines up with mine. If the visions are different, then the path will not be the same. I am of coarse not talking about minor differences but of major ones. The Visions have to align or it will just simply not work. It will be doomed from the start. Vision gives purpose. It lights the path. It rids fears, as long as you keep your eyes on it.
My challenge to all that read this is to sit back and close your eyes and picture that vision in your mind. When it is as clear as it can be, write it down, put it in a safe place. Go back and read it and add to it as your vision clarifies. Remember that a person without a vision perishes and will wander in the darkness.
