This life we live is in ever constant change. It is a wonderfully beautiful dance to a song that is unheard and unknown. Each day taking steps in the movement of life's rhythms. The choreograph perfectly designed to each individual. Sometimes the dance flows and is beautiful as a ballet. Other times it is chaotic and seems to have no purpose such as a mosh pit. But the dance is still the dance. Ever changing and flowing.
Maybe a better analogy is a river. Life is ever flowing and I am a vessel upon its waters. There are days where the waters are peaceful and all is perfect and calm. You look to the shores and see the beauty of nature as you are casually drifting along the river's current; How the birds sing their songs as they fly about, the flowers and trees along the shores where the animals come and drink until they get their fill, the Sun giving full light to proclaim the glory of it all.
And then, there are the days that you are in the rapids. Learning to watch the river as it flows with power and redirects itself around the obstacles that are in its way, learning from the river to navigate the vessel through those same obstacles, to just flow with it and how to correct coarse when needed to bring it back to the calm waters once again.
And then, there are the storms, where you can do nothing but hold on. Just hoping that the river will bring you through without destroying the vessel upon the shores. Where you can see nothing but the rough waters and the storm that you are in. All seems as though it is coming to an end as you are tossed back and forth on the waves. Wondering if the storm will ever end and what it will all look like when it does.
When the storm does end, you find that you have made it through. You also realize that there are other vessels that have gone through the storms and that you are not alone. Not only are you not alone, but you have never been alone. They were always there, drifting along the currents with you on the river.
So let us dance together and sail together along the river not knowing what is to come, but facing it together as we learn and navigate the beautiful choreography of what could be as well as what will be.
