They're beautiful creatures. I once walked through the Golden Gate Park in SF and saw one sitting, perched in a tree..seeing them upclose like that is amazing.

I was able to get about six foot away. I wasn’t going to push my luck trying to get any closer. They are definitely amazing and gorgeous creatures.

That's cool! I did the same tried getting as close as possible without disturbing him/her..pretty sure it was keeping a watchful eye on me. Lol...I'm not suspicious in fact seeing it was good luck..I mean how often in one's lifetime would I get to see one so close up like that.
