I'm new and not new to the lifestyle at the same time. I started when I was much younger and just recently returned. One of the things I am yet to understand is how do doms separate the person from the sub/slave/little. How can you differentiate between the two? One thing I heard a lot is that they care..fully..wholly but they don't care about the person. I hear, "I care about you as a sub" or "I care for my subs fully".
The fallen words that are left unsaid is..."but I don't care about you". Words are left unsaid but actions shatter lives.
But I also think this is the childish naive side of me... because I actually care fully. Therefore, I'm careful to who I let close to me. I differentiate between the role of dom and just the person. Feel like this is a philosophical question and quest.
Personally, I feel like if I let u close to me, I'm going to care about all of you...and not just the side of you that fulfill me superficially or sexually. But hey that's just me.
