Ive been trying to get better at understanding the dating scene and human interaction ive found some funny terms. Feel free to add in the comments.

So...

Showboating

Oneupmanship

Catfishing

Woke fishing

Cuttlefishing

Tinder hopping

Who knew there was so many fishing analogys for dating ...

Maybe some more peacocking analogies would be fun

WhatamIfightingfor(dom male) - I think I know more than half, but I suspect the meanings have shifted from what I learned.

WhatamIfightingfor(dom male) - "There are other fish in the sea", I has to do with finding some one is similar to fishing when using analogies.

rosethorn(sub female) - True, i just wonder if there has ever been two fishermen that just do bad dating jokes to each other

Bunnie - Oh wow... can you please share what the meanings are too? I’ve not heard many of any of the “dating scene” terminology. I was still married when tinder and “swipe dating” became a thing.

rosethorn(sub female) - Ohh swipe dating, im pinching that. Peacocking is after the animal so the Male peacocks are the colourful ones. I think it's like showing off being flamboyant or best dressed. Could also be who has the best car and so on..

WhatamIfightingfor(dom male) - As far as I kno the old definitions.

Peacocking is showing off to win some one over, while going up against anther suiter

Showboating, showing off being annoying

Oneupmanship , always out doing some one

Catfishing , being fake, false representation of personality

Woke fishing - using woke causes to get with some one

Cuttlefishing , I don't know this one

Tinder hopping, using tinder and hopping from partner to partner would be my guess

Magpie , I have not heard this one, though it is a species of bird

on the prowl, hunting for the next partner,

Definitions as best I know
