Rose's Thorns.

A general pondering.

So ... i keep getting job offers for jobs i can't get to.

I accepted one recently thinking i could get there, realised i had the wrong address and no public transport goes to their new address.

The waiting list to book driving tests is ridiculous. Does anyone have any advice in this situation? I don't know what to do.

Moonlighter(dom male) - Does the Job you applied for have a car share policy? Or even if you have to taxi in to the first day could you perhaps discuss car sharing with someone to get there.

Also in UK an 18+ can drive up to a 125cc motorcycle on a provisional license with L plates if you pass your CBT (dead easy an afternoons worth of work) not as convenient as a car but a mode of transport nonetheless.

rosethorn(sub female) - No one travels there its 1hr by car, somehow thats 2hrs by train. I stupidly though the train would be quicker. Im used to travelling 1hr for work so it didn't bother me, its between two cities so i though there would be transport but nope.

What is the CBT? I'm actually very close to passing my test driving wise the problem is the waiting time to book the test and the fact I need to find an instructor because I moved from my old instructor which means I'm going to have to pay for everything all over again and I can't do that without a job.

Master Ebony(dom male) - A CBT is a basic motorbike test. You can buy scooter and drive on learner plates for up to 2 years. If you can afford a scooter the cbt is booked before they allow you to ride on the road. It a basic test as they show you hoe to ride the motorbike or scooter. I use to live 1 hour away from work and public transport was shit. The scooter set me free. Well if it means you get the job you meed def look at getting a scooter or motorbike

MissBonnie(dom female){oz} - How close can you get?...could you then take a cab or uber? Would it pay the bills until you found something closer?
Sorry to hear nothing closer is coming up for you.
