If my dark was the devil, would you dance with me;
Would you swing through my fire if the flames gave you heat?
Would you give your light to burn your feed,
Would you dance with my devil if it fed your need?
Would it matter if my dark could slash you like a dagger;
That my eyes could punch a heart or squeeze it like a bladder?
That every word I threw at you just made your mind feel madder,
As long as something moves, the direction doesn't matter?
Is there really any need for angel wings to fly,
Shall I feed this devil and leave this hope to die?
Is it worth the strain, is it worth the try
When all around it seems the devil takes the night?
Floating on the clouds is a lonely place to be.
Surrounded by my arms, my own love comforts me.
But everywhere around, the devil makes me bleed,
Grabbing at the innocent, feeding all the greed.
Faith can fall like feathers if we search around for wings,
Angels hold to silence until our own heart sings.
Nothing can prevent the wind from whistling
So on this breeze of pain, I now become the wind.
As the storm, I'll take the night, as thunder I will strike.
As the sun, I'll burn in truth till dark is brought to light.
I'll float above on angel wings with feet ready to fight
Watch me take the devils flame, and still hold onto light.
Seems everyone around sees strength in those with force in mind;
That deep inside it's their belief that makes their vision blind,
But I will keep my faith, while they dance in their night
And show how love is strong enough to always win the fight.
I'll watch them dance on burning coals but will not soothe their feet.
I'll let them eat the bitter fruit that I will find so sweet.
The devil has his moment, but he cannot compete
With an angel who has burned for truth enough to take the heat...
MY SIR you claimed all my heart my soul my all, your the air that i breathe, I lay down by your side complete.
