Ran DOM musings

The famous American poet, Robert Frost, was quoted as saying "you have freedom when you're easy in your harness".

He was also quoted as follows:

"The strongest and most effective force in guaranteeing the long-term maintenance of power is not violence in all the forms deployed by the dominant to control the dominated, but consent in all the forms in which the dominated acquiesce in their own domination".

Frost's statements were made in the context of civil liberties, but the statements ring true in other contexts also, and have at least some relevance in the realm of a Dom/sub dynamic. Do you agree with those sentiments?

And who knows...maybe good ol' Robert actually had kink in mind when he made these statements. After all he was the original advocate of taking the path less travelled.

SSG{ENM-TLP} - I have always felt that a natural dynamic between a dominant and submissive could be wickedly strong, if the dominant felt confident in who they are enough to allow submission to flow from the submissive without ever requiring a demand for compliance. I personally believe if a submissive is merely being compliant (doing as she is told) then it is an indicator trust hasn't yet been formed between the two (unless it is a kink of hers). I am most submissive with my Dominant (when one is in my life) when He "just is." I feel His domination call me to Him. I need no commands. I have experienced only 2 of such dominants in my life. They are sorely missed. Thank you for sharing.
