the grassy knoll

roll around in my head with me

All we're all looking for

is someone who's looking for us

in all of our specificities

complexities

and sadnesses

and when they see us

they know us

and finally we can understand ourselves

Other people don't know shit

Be alone

and discover yourself

so that you may gain understanding

beyond the moment

and carry it with you for the rest of your life

Oliver Void(dom male) - Oliver Void - What an eloquent title; themes of Determination – Futility, reflecting a journey towards self-discovery and yet the paradox of connection and isolation while attempting to understanding oneself… You have a greater tone of optimism here than usual it seems, which makes me feel very happy for you, your happiness... The Duality you show is how I personally feel philosophically and, ironically {it could be a fitting description of my past month}. I have a poem I wrote in the beginning of the month themed on duality; I wrote it for a special woman I care deeply about in my life…
(I think I will save it…)

I agree about those who venture out, driven by the desire to understand and be understood, However, at other times, we are the ones who wait, hoping to be discovered in our truest forms.

“As a child I felt myself to be alone, and I am still, because I know things and must hint at things which others apparently know nothing of, and for the most part do not want to know.”
-Carl Jung

“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible.”
-Carl Jung

It's hard to fight our ambivalence

*I want to a share a poem that has special meaning to me, it may be my favorite poem of all time; The author is a man that has also been to and survived the conscious void of trauma as I have.
