So, this is going to be a
RANT
With my laptop being 5 years old, it was slowly dying: Touch pad giving me fits. Certain keys, more and more, starting not to function. Overheating...on and on and on...
This is what has kept me from making any kinds of posts here on Cage. Plus it was affecting all of my writings. To the point where I was risking falling into a depression.
So I decided to get a new one. Ordered one off of Amazon third party seller. FexEx took a week to get it here. Unboxed it and turned the power on.
Fucking thing had a corrupted file and would not boot.
Fooling around with it for 2 hours got me nowhere.
So logged a return and searched for a local store and found a laptop with the same specs. Dropped off the return and bought the new one. Got it home and started with getting it set up.
Touch screen would not work (or it was not a touch screen at all)
Registered is with the manufacturer and they said the warranty was expired.
Today started with me returning that laptop and getting a different one with the same specs and starting the setup on it. Thus far no problems.
But damn.....
