Tersely Pertinent

This blog is a place for me to post things to get them out of my head.

My writings give a hint of the way I view the lifestyle, both good and bad.

My projects give my hands something to do, when my writing fails me.

Taking a small break from my writing, while working on the format and deciding whether to continue the addition of the photos:

Here is the completed flogger:

The shoe glue completely cured on Thursday and it was ready for a stress test.   So the back of the basement sectional got abused again (No not that way.  My last name is not Vance) and all the falls remained in the handle.

For those who missed the prior post on it:

The handle is 6 inches of stainless steel tube capped on each end with a rubber cap.   A chrome drawer pull on on the butt and the head cap was hollowed out to allow the falls.

The falls are 18" (overall) yak hide.   The yak has a weight of about 4 oz (1 oz is 1/64 "), so it is fairly heavy, comparatively speaking.   Knowing this, I was planning on only using 13 falls, but they were too thick for the tube and could only glue in 12.

lambsone{countrySir} - There's something about the look of this that is crisp, clean, and professional. I think it's the stainless steel color combined with the solid black parts that create such a nice look. How does it feel for you when you use it compared to your other floggers. Is there any snapping sound when the tails hit a surface? Have you tried it on a human yet to see how it feels to them compared to other floggers types? I love floggers.
