Grief

Grief is a stranger.
It will never be a friend.
It does not care what you want to do today, tomorrow or any other day.
It will wreak any plans that you make.
It will be a constant reminder of why you shouldn’t be happy or even content.
It will push even your best friend away.
It will make you dodge phone calls from your family.
It will ruin a day that has been full of adventure and good times.
The only good thing about grief is at one point you have the power to control it.
You have the power to say “Not Today”
You have the power to take unpleasant memories and say I do not live there anymore.
When you reach that point Grief has no control.

dollMaker(dom male) - I prefer the original version, I like orchestral use, but the tone, feels off compared to the original instruments. Tommy’s blessed as he still has his voice compared to many vintage rock vocalists.

Literate Lycan(dom male) - I concur with dollMaker's assessment. It's not a bad rendition; however, I prefer the original. Tommy Shaw can still rock the voice but the orchestral accompaniment doesn't provide the same feeling when I listen to it. Not bad, just not better. Thanks for posting.

dollMaker(dom male) - For myself, I think The Grand Illusion is probably Styx best album, though Paradise Theatre comes a close second for me, with Equinox and Crystal Ball joint third, and Pieces of Eight next. Never saw them live.
