My Castle Vault

We have walked this path before.  

Knowing that, does not lessen the pain.

Understanding though, at least makes the pain bearable.

Knowing that, does not lessen the fear.

Echoes of the past collide with dreams of a future.

‘A’ future I say now, not ‘the’ future.

I thought I knew where the future was going.

I forgot what kind of force the Hurricane can wrought.

The eye moved suddenly, there was little warning.

We all did the best we could to protect ourselves.

We’ll sort it all out when the waves stop crashing against us.

The storm will pass us by, we have weathered it before.
