It's not about control. It's about Leadership.
When a Master teaches with love and understanding and respect, the submissive learns from the inside out, not the outside in. For the goal is not submission. The submission is a means to an end. The goal is self-esteem, peace within one's self, and the ability to reach out to others to give them the same. That is what a True Master does.

circles
we all just turn in circles
spinning fast
going nowhere
as we turn we see the place where we were moments ago
and we turn again just to be right back in that same place

circles
spinning in place
digging holes underneath us
how deep will we go?
will we be able to climb out?
will we be whole?
the roots we encounter
grow ever sharper
flesh rends
blood spends

it never ends
