When I was overseas, I wrote home to my family and my sweetheart. When I studied creative writing, one form of writing was letter writing. Now I can use this technique to write blog posts. This is my first attempt at this form of writing.

Here on Mars it is like living in a permanent twighlight. Getting used to the way the sun looks here takes some getting used to. Yess even here along the Martian equator it is dim and the warmest it ever gets is about 27 degrees C. I can go for a walk in my special protective suit but even when the wind blows I see the dust but can't feel the wind unless I step inside a Martian Dust Devil and it nudges my protective jump suit. When the wind stops it is my job wipe the dust off the dwelling windows and solar panels. Even in this low gravity environment I get tired so I go inside, change and shower and select a MRE (meal ready to eat) prepare it with water and heat it with a microwave and disintegrate the package and left overs. It is obvious we recycle as much of our waste as posibble and much of it especially the fluids are sent to the green houses where we hope some of the MRE foods can be locally produced.
I don't like the News I see from Earth so many of the old tensions and conflicts continue. Here on this planet everyone is vital for our survival. Work for that purpose can not suffer because of petty human bickering or other negative behaviour.
Well Seetheart I think I will call it a day and lie down on my cot for the night. Strange the Marian day is so close to a day on Earth I never experience anything like Jet lag adjusting to local time.
I miss laying with you nude body close to mine warm and sweet. Kissing every inch of you as we made love until we became so tired we both fell asleep in each other's arems.
Sending You All My Love At Light Speed
Eric
