The Culture that has been here all the time

When I studied to acquire my Master's status I discovered the M/S relationship existed probably for all the history of humans. Religion and Western Culture distort this greatly. Using codes and euphemisms even denial masks it presents the fact many people thrive within this often unrecognized subculture. For example, my wife had all the earmarks of a pleasure slave and was generally devoted and submissive to me. In times of marriage friction, I often heard the words from a counselor, "She just wants you to love her" "Love her" I thought I was and did now I know without a doubt I need to be a master, not some preconceived idea we are to live as equals.

Hello Friends,

The term "Switch" is pretty self-explanatory, but I have a number of questions about how "switch" people function in practice.

Does switching from dom to sub happen during a sexual encounter? Or do two switches take different roles at the start of each new sexual encounter? Does a switch need to pair up with another switch?

Thank You for your help

Max Heathen(other male) - Majority of the time, I don't really fully switch. My Slave will obey my commands when I need to Switch. She'll follow my pre-given instructions and soon as I've received what I need, I instantly switch back, turn the situation around and fulfill her needs.
When I was with another switch, we just went as the mood felt right, sometimes swapping back and forth (depends on the length of time) which drew out the scene and made the ending more gratifying.
